Yesterday the storm (Dennis) made landfall about 100 miles south of here. By dinnertime the weather was quite nasty. Cricket and I spent most of the day playing scrabble.  We ate at the hotel restraunt because there was no way to get to anywhere else without getting soaked.

Today, however, the weather cleared and we went out on the beach. It was still too windy to attempt to put up the umbrella, and they weren't letting anybody into the water because the surf was too dangerous, but we had a good time wandering up and down the beach for a bit.
