Jeff's Credentials

Jeff is named as an inventor on two US patents. The patent numbers reference the associated patent on the IBM Patent Server. The names reference a local copy. (Roy's patent is there too. #4,326,813.)

The most recent was granted on May 7, 1996, number #5,515,513, and is called "Disposition filtering of messages using a single address and protocol table bridge".

An earlier patent, #5,179,554, "Automatic Association of Local Area Network Station Addresses with a Repeater Port", was granted January 12, 1993. I'm still working on getting a local copy of the text of this patent.

Jeff received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1981. Have you seen the Alumni page?

Jeff received a diploma (with Regents honors) from Greece Olympia High School, in Greece, NY, in 1977. Have you seen the Alumni page? There is also an unoffical page.

Jeff was issued an FCC Third Class Radiotelephone Permit with broadcast endorsement, a DJ license, in 1974. The original license required passing three exams, but the FCC has long since eliminated the exam requirement for DJ's. I used this licence while volunteering at WGMC-FM.

Jeff once won $10 for his cartoon, show here, about the Apollo missions to the moon.
