Comments: I think you have a wonderful web site. The photos in color of Haverhill are beautiful. My father, David Alan Smith, was born there in 1916 to Harold and Lucille Lucey Smith. Anyone out there go that far back and maybe heard of this family? Harold and Lucille were divorced, my father moved away shortly before WWII, never to return to live. Lucille died in 1966. I've posted here before but it's been a long while. So it's worth a shot once again! Hope to visit Haverhill one day.

Comments: My grandparents, John Benjamin Peavey and Eunice Mary Sturk were married in Haverhill on May 2,1891. He was a blacksmith, and her occupation on the marriage license was listed as a stitcher. A stitcher of what, I wonder. Shoes? Hats were also a hobby of hers. I would love to go back and visit Haverhill, and some other towns where several of their children were born.

next year is our 18th wedding aniversiry. I was hoping to find
a small , old church in New England were we could get remarried.
Is there any such place in Haverhill? The smaller and older the
better. Our first wedding was in front of a judge in a court house.
I want a church wedding this time and I can think of no place

Comments: My father, Duane Halvarson was born in Haverhill in 1914, but spent most of his life in California. When he passed away in 1993, we brought him back to Haverhill to be buried at Linwood Cemetery. Linwood is a beautiful location, and it was wonderful to see the town where he spent his early youth. It is a lovely city, very different from my home in California.

Comments: Hi all Just back checking up on the new things that are going on in haverhill. I grew up in Bradford but it sure don't look like home anymore. I lived at 121 Old Lawrence rd. and there use to be the sliding hill which is houses now. It's sad to see what is happening to the old neighbor hood. I guess that's life.
