and Hampsted. My Father worked for Western Electic in N Andover
for years.
Funny thing is I now reside in Florida. Where a neighboring Palm
Beach County town and subsequent street named "HAVERHILL"
and the town was named after Haverhill Mass. And here in this
area they pronounce it incorrectly. I correct everyone! Its HAY-VRILL!!!!!
Here they say HA-VER-HILL. So annoying, they need a history lesson.
Thanks to my mother Marillyn (Henderson) Young-Richey for finding
this site for me! Enjoyed this site~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have 4 older
brothers, Bradley, John and David (TWINS), and Glenn. All with

If anyone knows of any of these, would like to swap some ancient
History,
I have copied many of the pics from the tour, I lived on Green
street, close to the center of town. Remember sledding on my street
until later years when they started to sand the streets. Green
street was not paved til the late 20s and remember sand would
wash down to water street and the trolly cars wheels would make
sparks on the rails because of the sand. I'll be looking.

Comments: This site is great for those of us who've moved away and want to take a trip down "memory lane!" I grew up in Haverhill, Class of 1970, St James High's final graduating class. My Mom, Teena (Dorr) Reardon still lives there so I still get get a chance to come "home" once in awhile. Whenever I do get home I always make time to visit Brown's in Seabrook for a fish plate and walk along the beach at "the line" which is what we called the spot where Salisbury Beach ends and Seabrook begins. Many summers were spent there as well as om "the rail" in Hampton! Between Memorial Day and Labor Day that place rocked!!!
