Comments:   I am a big Civil War buff and recently picked up a Grand Army of The Republic ribbon from the Haverhill Ma post 47. Now I know why a shoe is depicted on it. There is no date but if anyone has information about this post I would love to hear from you. The ribbon is red with gold fringe and a gold or brass GAR metal plate at top. Thanks!P.S. Comments:   Great Website!!! I was just checking out the webpage to see the ad for the American Cancer Society "Relay for Life" (which looks great!)and I was so impressed I started looking at the pictures and started to read the guest book. I went back as far as Nov 1999. I'm amazed by how many guest are related to the Dustons. I think they should all get together and have some type of reunion. Could be quite interesting.

Born and raised in Haverhill. Attended St. Joseph School, HHS, Northern Essex Community College and Bradford College. Have recently moved to Newburyport to be closer to the water. But Haverhill will always be a special place in my heart. :)

Comments:   Grew up in Bradford. Graduated from Sacred Hearts in '81 and HHS in '85. I moved when I was
23 years old to Anchorage, AK for a change and I love it. I visit my brother John every few years.
I miss the smallness of the Bradford community I grew up in and the oldness. There isn't history
in Anchorage like there is in Bradford/New England. I miss the old things, rock fences, maple
trees, chestnuts/acorns and especially old friends. I wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere
else.

Comments:   I am looking for any information regarding my mother and her family. My mother's name was BARBARA RUTH KUSHNER, and she was born in HAVERHILL on November 28, 1928 to: ABRAHAM KUSHNER and GRACE B. FARRAR. They lived at 188 GROVELAND. As my mother died when I was very young, and my Father was estranged from her family, I know very little about them. My mother died somewhere back east around 1959-1962.
